Lack of Interest in the Authority of Scripture
I don’t know if you have noticed or not, but there doesn’t appear to be many people, even professing Christians, that are painstakingly interested in the authority of Scripture. This is extremely dangerous. It is not by accident that the Holy Scriptures have endured several millennia! Obviously, the words of the Bible are inspired and providentially protected! They are, and only they are, the Words of the great Creator God. So, I am convinced that this is the reason why I am so disturbed about the rise of Islam in all corners of the world.
I began a serious study into the origin and history of Islam, its human founder, “Muhammad” and its three primary books: the Qur’an, the multiple volumes of hadith and the Sunnah. Sometime in mid-June I plan to present classes on the following topics: 1. Christianity and Islam, 2. Jesus and Muhammad, 3. The Bible and the Qur’an. If your church would desire to entertain a seminar on these topics, please call the CTF office (405-872-9856) and schedule a time with Bob.
I am doing this for several reasons (some of which I will mention here), namely, that Islam now sports a cadre of followers numbering well over 1.2 billion and is now the fastest growing religion in the world. World domination is their stated objective and is the primary goal of their recent striving in Western Europe and the U.S. (jihad means “striving”). Moreover, Islamic proponents have no qualms in using of the sword in their evangelical persuasion. And further, a weakened Biblical appraisal and faith among quasi believers is an optimal environment for penetration by their convincing evangelists.
A simple comparison of Jesus and Muhammad will quickly reveal the stark differences between the two founders: (1). Jesus is the Son of God, the resurrected Savior and great Creator of the universe, while in Islam Jesus is a mere man, not the incarnate God, who died for our sins, whose blood is redemptively potent for all that believe on Him. (2). Jesus demonstrated true redemptive love by telling and then showing us that no greater love is available in the world than the giving of one’s life for his friends—and He did just that, and He rose from the grave on the third day after His crucifixion. Allah is a deity among the pre-Islamic ancient pantheon of 360 other deities whose images resided in the Kaaba in the city of Mecca before Muhammad was born. (3). Jesus is coming again to catch His waiting bride away to a city He has prepared for them, while the Islamic Jesus is supposed to show up at the end of the age, but his purpose for coming is to destroy all resisters of Islam, especially the Jews, then he will get married and have four or so children and die… really?
I find there is great ignorance in the professing church about this great oppressive, demonic influence that is rising up out of the sea and coming onto the earth. Therefore, I highly recommend to your church the possibility of having a series of studies about these things.
I remain yours in the mighty Name of Jesus, our God and Savior…
